Types of Laser Vision Correction

 

LASIK
Custom LASIK is the most advanced vision correction surgery available. It does the best possible diagnosis by testing your eyes from a special light source, and using that to create 3-D maps of each eye. Then it uses these maps as a guide during the laser treatment.

PRK
PRK was developed before LASIK, and is a wonderful alternative if you cannot safely have LASIK. While PRK has been around for a long time, today’s PRK uses the most advanced laser technology. Please see our PRK page for more details.

 

Advanced Intraocular Lenses (IOLs)
If you have cataracts and  presbyopia, we can replace your natural lens with any one of the three deluxe approved IOLs on the market. First Dr. Hummel will do a thorough eye examination, and you and he can decide which one will best suit your unique vision needs.
