The VISX excimer laser works with Wavefront technology for precision laser vision correction. Hummel Eye Associates in Oklahoma City offers VISX CustomVue technology to help you see your best.

The VISX CustomVue system is the most advanced in laser vision correction technology. It uses Wavescan technology to create a detailed map of your eyes – 25 times more precise than measurements used to determine glasses and contact lens prescriptions.

The VISX excimer laser then interfaces with WaveScan and this map guides the laser during the procedure on your eye. Each eye is unique, much like a fingerprint. By using this precise mapping and guidance system, we can give you the clearest vision possible.

The VISX system has additional hardware called Iris Registration, which tracks any tiny eye movements your eyes might make during treatment (so tiny you probably wouldn’t be aware of them). This makes the laser stay exactly focused where it should be.

VISX CustomVue avoids the loss of visual quality experienced with older forms of LASIK, and has a high rate of success in achieving 20/20 vision.
