Dr. Hummel, a native of Oklahoma, is a board certified ophthalmologist. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Oklahoma and later his Masters Degree in Public Health Administration and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. He completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Tennessee, where he served as chief resident and taught the latest techniques in cataract and refractive surgery.
Dr. Hummel is the Chief LASIK surgeon at the Omni Eye Laser Vision Center in Edmond and Surgical Director of Hummel Eye Associates. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery as well as the American Academy of Ophthalmology. As an accomplished refractive surgeon, he performs the most advanced techniques in cataract and refractive surgery for those patients referred by other eye doctors.
Dr. Hummel has performed tens of thousands of successful procedures since 1995 and stays current with developing technology and techniques. Dr. Hummel offers the most advanced cataract surgery lens options, CustomVue Wavefront LASIK, and performs the latest procedures in Glaucoma management, including SLT (laser) and iStent® Micro-Bypass.
Dr. Hummel and his wife Robin, have three children, two grandchildren, and live in Oklahoma City. In addition to his work, Dr. Hummel enjoys playing golf, going to the lake, and spending quality time with his family and dog.
Mark Privott, O.D.
Dr. Privott, an Oklahoma native, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Vision Science and went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from The Northeastern College of Optometry in 1985. Dr. Privott owns his Optometry office in Bethany, and has been helping patients when needed at Hummel Eye Associates since 1992. Dr. Privott is a Board-certified Optometrist with the American Board of Optometry and is also a retired Colonel from the the National Guard.
Dr. Privott provides complete family eye care with a special interest in difficult to fit contacts, including scleral and hybrid contact lenses. He is also involved in the pre and post-operative management of Hummel Eye Associates cataract surgery patients.
Mark and his wife Renee live in Bethany, and have 2 daughters and 1 granddaughter. In his spare time, Dr. Privott enjoys golfing, hiking and playing pickleball.
